Our Next Production
We return in November with a Victorian comedy adventure: The Dreadful Penny. Gasp, laugh and cheer as our hero, Mortimer Snerd, embarks on a quest to save his father from debtor's prison and expose the greedy Hans Von Bulge for the frightful Teutonic cad he is. Along the way he crosses paths with Phileas Fogg, an Arabian Princess, a talking camel and a smattering of pirates. The show runs at The Rondo Theatre in Bath from Wednesday 6th to Saturday 9th November 2013 starting at 7:30pm. The production will then tour to Malmesbury Town Hall on Saturday 16th November and The Cotswold Playhouse in Stroud on Saturday 30th November.

The Tamworth Two by Dougie Blaxland
Playing Up presented The Tamworth Two between 27th April and 5th June 2011.
 |
 |
Playing Up's production of The Tamworth Two was as inventive as it was theatrical. The three actors combined the elements of physical and verbal humour brilliantly, bringing pace, vitality and wit to the play. Their mastery of the strange syntax and rhythms of the piece was most impressive as were the precise, keenly observed and astonishingly swift changes of character. In all, they created a wonderful piece of comic theatre that held their audience spell bound with admiration." |
